Pinterest Promoted Pins Announced by Pinterest Founder

Pinterest founder Ben Silberman announced last week that Pinterest would start experimenting with promoted pins – What this means for internet marketers is more opportunity for you know what ? Guess what it is ?  Monetization.  Just like you can promote ads or promote posts on Facebook and you can promote tweets on Twitter. Soon you will be able to promote your pins on Pinterest.  The Pinterest Team is being very careful about the way it is using it site to monetize because it doesn't want to upset its growing population of users. They are being super sensitive to do it in a way that is non-obtrusive. It’s not an easy thing to do - to monetize site with ads or promoted posts/pins/tweets etc and still be loved but Pinterest is up for the Challenge.  Continue reading about the future of Pinterest - Pinterest Promoted Pins

Pinterest Promoted Pins

Announced by Pinterest Founder

pinterest promoted pins

First, here is what Ben said:

"Just over a year ago, my wife and I welcomed our son into the world. Since his first day, I’ve been pinning fun things we can do together, right now while he’s still little and later when he gets older. I know many of you do the same. Pinterest is where you keep your wishlists, vacation plans, dream home ideas, and other things you want to do soon and in the future.

That’s why for us, it’s so important that Pinterest is a service that will be here to stay. To help make sure it does, we’re going to start experimenting with promoting certain pins from a select group of businesses.

I know some of you may be thinking, “Oh great…here come the banner ads.” But we’re determined to not let that happen. While we haven’t figured out all the details, I can say that promoted pins will be:

11 Steps to Get #1 on Google in 2013 & Beyond with Links Management

#1 on google, backlink searchIf You have any problems with getting high rankings, or if you lost them after any of the recent Google updates, regardless whether you’re new to SEO or you are a SEO expert, make sure to carefully read this guide and follow all advice given to get in the Top 10 on Google. Every month this company I'm about to review carefully studies and analyze s every factor that influences on the success and failure of each and every one of our customers. They aim at revealing the most important reasons WHY some people cannot succeed in getting ranked in Google Top 10 and what exactly you need to do – and how to do it – in order to successfully achieve #1 on Google in 2013! Note: it’s vital to follow each of the following 11 steps. Ignoring even just one of them may result in failure to be ranked Top 10 on Google.

11 Steps to Get #1 on Google in 2013 &

Beyond with Links Management

1. Find out the cost of Top 10 for your keywords

Using their#1 on google, choosing keywords, right keywords Free SEO Cost Calculator Tool you can compare your current backlink profile to your competitors’ backlink profiles for your selected keywords and find out how many links you need in order to outrank them, and how much it will cost you to get in the Top 10 for each of your keywords. This step is very important since it will allow you to choose the right niche and right keywords that you can afford. For example, at first you may want to target keyword ‘link building’, but, after doing some research, you may find out it’s too competitive and you’ll want to switch to some other, less competitive keyword, say ‘link building service USA’. Doing this research can save you thousands of dollars because the difference in price for different keywords can be as huge as $10,000 per month for one keyword and $100 per month for another long-tail keyword. So, find out how much it will cost you and how many links you’ll need to outrank your competition for your keywords using our Free SEO Cost Calculator Tool. For more info on how to choose the right keywords, check out this 7 Rules for Selecting The Best Keywords.

2. Build links gradually and steadily

#1 on google, page rank climb To make it simple, we recommend you to build not more than 5 links a day. This link building frequency will make your link building campaign look natural. It’s also recommended to start your link building campaign with low PR backlinks (PR1-PR3), and then, in 1-2 months to start acquiring backlinks with higher PageRanks (PR5-PR7).

Post Viral Videos to these Top YouTube Alternatives

So we all know who is King of the Video Sharing Sites. YouTube, YouTube, YouTube. If you want to upload a video on the Internet, pretty much anyone will default to the web's standard. And why shouldn't they? YouTube has been the platform for viral sensations, from huge brands to home videos that accidentally go viral. Let me tell you why should consider alternatives and why you should post Viral Videos to these Top YouTube Alternatives below.

When you post to YouTube the wisdom is: "Go where the people are." It makes YouTube tempting, especially as it continues to expand its features and reach. But there are some things that YouTube can't do, or doesn't do so well. There are plenty of other high-quality video platforms with competitive features or specialized markets. Also YouTube is so large that your videos might get lost in the crowd and it is always good to supplement, get additional exposure and extend your reach in places where most people would not think to post their videos so the competition might not be as fierce as YouTube

So I picked out a couple YouTube Alternatives (and I might add more as I see fit) and why I think you should post your soon to go Viral Videos on these sites. Shall we Proceed ?

Post Viral Videos to these Top YouTube Alternatives

youtube alternatives, top youtube alternatives, video marketing, viral videos

1) DailyMotion

daily motion, viral marketing, youtube alternatives

Brief Summary: Organized more like a content aggregator, DailyMotion offers videos of varying length organized by category. There's plenty of user-made videos, but professional, quality clips are more prominently featured.

Features: The site supports the most common video formats but restricts storage capacity to less than 150 MB and less than 20 minutes per video. The emphasis is on community, with the ability to add other users in a contact list and send feedback. Most high-powered features, like HD uploads, are locked behind pro accounts.

Why Use DailyMotion?: It's not the most intuitive site for uploaders, but it's easy for curious viewers to browse. If you can manage the backend, there's a good chance your video will reach new eyes.

Choosing a Good Domain Name for your Website ( Free Infographic)

When it comes to Choosing a Good Domain Name for your Website (whether it be your business website, your personal blog, a non-profit, etc) you want people to come visit so want  as much Traffic to your site as possible and you want it to have natural SEO with keywords that highlight what your site is really all about.  Like for example TrafficMarketingDaddy.com I chose this name because:

1) I am Daddy of 2 beautiful children  - need I say more ?

2) This site is about internet marketing, online marketing, affiliate marketing, forum marketing, social media marketing, Pay Pay Click Marketing - get it Marketing.

3) Finally I want to show you how to get Traffic and perhaps get some of my own traffic with this name electing a domain name.

I have to admit that after 3 months of hosting this site I still have a lot of work to get the TrafficMarketingDaddy brand into the hearts and mind of my intended audience but I do get a lot of traffic or ( Google Analytics says I do anyway ) and I do feel that I am helping others learn what I learn daily which is a good start and I am making some a side income in the process which is a motivator to continue doing what I am doing but anyway

Choosing a Good Domain Name

for your Website

( Free Infographic)

choosing a domain name, choosing a good domain name

So when choosing a good domain name for your website striking a balance between the three most critical elements which I would describe as as keeping it (the name) simple, keeping it memorable and making sure the name is relevant is the goal that you need to strive for. A successful domain name creates a brand. It creates an instant recognizable factor that will attract the right kind of visitors that you are looking for and if you miss some or all of these components, you might just find yourself with a website that gets a lot of hits, but for all the wrong reasons.

So think hard, choose right, do your  research, research the competition, if it's too long and too complicated scrap the name and try to get a .com domain if you can, if not there is also .net, .biz, .org, .us and some sites still find success this way such as wikipedia.org, or del.icio.us but your best bet is .com or .net.

What is Link Diversity ? And How to Diversify Backlinks correctly - SEO Tips

SEOs have been advising Internet marketers to diversify their links to future-proof their SEO rankings. The reason why is because building a diverse link profile looks natural to the search engines. In comparison, a link profile that’s built around the same kind of links looks artificial and runs the risk of being penalized by the search engines. Despite many Internet marketers diversifying their links, they’re still doing it wrong. Continue reading to learn more about What is Link Diversity and get  some general advice about diversifying your links the RIGHT way.

What is Link Diversity ?

And How to Diversify Backlinks correctly

( SEO Tips )

what is link diversity

What is Link Diversity & What Contributes to Your Link Profile Diversity:

1) Number of linking domains

We already mentioned this one, but this is a fact. When we build links we should not concentrate on quantity, but it is an important factor. Getting new root domains to link to you will significantly increase your rankings.

2) Types of linking domains

Type of the domain linking to you is also important, and we are not talking about relevancy and topic here, we will get to that next. We are talking about different type of sites, like website directories, article directories, blogging websites, blogs, government or educational sites, e-commerce sites, wiki sites, social networks, and so on. So we need links from various types of website as well, it tells Google and other search engines that our website is loved by various types of websites and that makes our website link diversity rich.

3) Topics of linking domains

Topic, relevancy, connection, a very important factor. We all know that if we have a gambling website that we will have a more valuable link from a sports website than from a movie review website. Unless we are betting on which actor gets which role. But the bottom line is that no website will have only relevant links, there are always a few stray ones, and that is not bad. If you get those kinds of links its fine, meanwhile you concentrate on every related topic you can get your hands on, the more diverse the better.

4 Google Keyword Tool Alternatives - Keyword Tool Replaced with Keyword Planner

As I said before and most of you use it maybe knew it was coming but the Google KeyWord Tool is now retired.  If you’ve tried to use the free Google Keyword Tool recently, you may have been surprised to discover the following message:

Keyword Tools 1 RIP Google Keyword Tool: 4 Free Alternatives for Your Keyword Research

And if this message has caused you fear, trepidation or disillusionment, take a deep breath and keep reading so you can see what Keyword Tool Alternatives are available to you for FREE.

There are still lots of good options available to you, so it’s no time to panic.

Here are some great free keyword tools you can use in place of the beloved Google Keyword Tool!

4 Google Keyword Tool Alternatives

Keyword Tool Replaced with Keyword Planner

Below you will find 4 of my favorite keyword research tools, along with the benefits and limitations of each. Don’t forget to leave a comment at the end of this post if I’ve forgotten your favorite tool!

1. Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest is a free keyword tool that relies on Google Suggest and other suggest services.

Intuitive and easy to use, UberSuggest quickly supplies you with hundreds of keyword suggestions related to the keyword or phrase you plug in. In terms of the sheer quantity of suggestions, this is one of my favorites.

While this is an excellent tool for giving loads of extremely relevant keyword suggestions, it’s downfall is that it doesn’t give you an idea of the competitiveness of a term.

Biggest pro: Heaps and heaps of keyword suggestions

Biggest con: Doesn’t indicate level of competition.

15 SEO Tips

15 Search Engine Optimization Tips

seo tips, search engine optimization tips, seo optimization tricks

1 - Meta-Description NOT as important but still Helps

Tags no longer play a vital role in seo optimization – gone are the days when populating Meta descriptions with variations of keywords will guarantee a high page ranking. However, a thorough research and use of unique keywords in titles and descriptions can still help in your quest for better ranking.

2 - Choosing the Right Domain Name

Your domain name is very important, and it’s advisable to include your keywords in it. I suggest you use dashes to separate the keywords; Choose a domain name that’s legible: for example “handmade-womens-clothing.com” is much easier to read than “handmadewomensclothing.com”. Moreover, search engines have a better chance of finding your site. And I highly recommended that you choose a .com or .net domain.

How you can Make Money with Facebook Graph Search ( Infographic )

Facebook’s latest innovation – Graph Search, went live in January 2013. Currently it covers four basic searches but it is expected to expand over the coming years. If you take a look at the InfoGraphic at the bottom of this post you will see how you can Make Money with Facebook Graph Search. I'm sure you've all seen what it looks like below:

How you can Make Money

with Facebook Graph Search

( Infographic Included)

Graph Search uses the one trillion or so social connections on Facebook to provide relevant and professionalized search results.

The name itself is derived from a sociogram which Facebook uses to depict the personal relations of its users. It currently supports  searches for the following types of objects – public posts, people, pages, events, applications, groups, places, check-ins and objects with locations info attached.

Because Facebook Graph Search uses connections on the social network to provide relevant and personalized search results, there’s a huge opportunity for small businesses to grow naturally, via digitized word-of-mouth (which is trusted by 92 percent of consumers).

“Graph search could help over 13 million small businesses get discovered,” said Facebook’s Dan Levy.

Graph Search - One of the Three Pillars of Facebook

Zuckerberg calls Graph Search one of the “three pillars” of Facebook (the other two being Timeline and Newsfeed). Zuckerberg also has said that Graph Search is different from Web search because it fulfills a different need for Internet users. In a news release, two Facebook executives who introduced Graph Search on the site wrote: “Graph Search and Web search are very different. Web search is designed to take a set of keywords (for example: 'hip hop') and provide the best possible results that match those keywords. With Graph Search you combine phrases (for example: 'my friends in New York who like Jay-Z') to get that set of people, places, photos or other content that's been shared on Facebook. We believe they have very different uses."

Are Your Emails Responsive? - Responsive Email Design with GetResponse

Before you read this post, think of all the devices you use to view your email. Computer – definitely. Mobile – probably. Tablet – more and more often. You view them on small screens and large, vertical and horizontal, with pictures on and off, in different browsers and email clients. Making every message look perfect on all devices might seem like a job for Superman, but actually it’s not. It’s a job for responsive email design.

GetResponse is making a huge leap forward in email design. Forget creating separate email versions for desktop and mobile, forget coding or paying extra for mobile versions of your newsletters. From now on, every email you create in GetResponse will look good both on desktop and mobile, and all you have to do is put the pieces together in Email Creator, just as you’ve been doing all along.

What is responsive email design?

In a nutshell, responsive email design is a continuation of Responsive Web Design – a special approach that considers the requirements of all types of devices, including mobile, to display a website – or in this case – an email. The focus is on usability and creating an optimal viewing experience. This means it’s always a priority for your emails to look perfect, be easy to navigate, and generate responses.

The layouts for each screen size will vary, but only to obtain the best viewing and navigation possible. Here’s an example. Your newsletter contains two images placed next to each other. If you use the same layout on mobile devices, vertical display will make the images so small you won’t be able to see their content. In responsive emails, the images will be displayed for example – one under another, which will help maintain their reasonable size and newsletter clarity.

Check Entire History of Tweets on Twitter with Topsy (Sept 2013)

If you doing any sort of online marketing, network marketing, promoting, advertising, affiliate marketing etc on Twitter then how valuable would it be if you were able to see your whole Twitter history so you can see what you've promoted before and sort of just like "listen" to yourself or your companies Tweet to see what kind of image are your portraying, are the tweets clear do they have a call to action message, are you promoting something too much or not enough ? You can even re-tweet the same message again or have it schedule to retweet again another time. Another thing is did you leave enough space so someone could retweet it as is ? Well if are interesting in How to check your whole tweet history on twitter with Topsy it is now possible.

Topsy Offers Entire History of Public Tweets: “If you’re curious about your own first tweet—or any other piece of Twitter history” be sure to check it out.

Check Entire History of Tweets

on Twitter with Topsy (Sept 2013)

check entire tweet history, topsy, tweet history, history of tweets

The real-time benefits of Topsy's analytics tools have been on display for years. During last year's presidential race, Twitter's political index — or "Twindex" — used Topsy's analytics features to determine public sentiment for each candidate. Twitter used information pulled from publicly available tweets to see if the public had a positive or negative view of certain politicians. The company could even aggregate the sentiment geographically by breaking down tweet locations to the city level.

In August, Topsy opened its API to developers, allowing them to use Twitter data more creatively in other applications.

This new, all-encompassing archive could benefit political and marketing campaigns. For example, if a political campaign wanted to go back and gauge public opinion surrounding a specific issue during the 2008 presidential race, it can now do so by searching Topsy's archives. The expanded wealth of information is available to the public at Topsy.com, but the more advanced analytics tools are reserved for users who pay for "Topsy Pro," according to a company spokesperson.

Those who use the free version of the search can still see how many times a specific search term or string of terms were mentioned in the past 30 days; but they will only be able to see the top 100 tweets matching their search. There also some other sites which will provide twitter history like http://snapbird.org/ which can search keywords in your past tweets and http://www.allmytweets.net/ make a nice easy text list you can quickly scan through.

Happy Birthday Google and Michael Chiong aka Traffic Marketing Daddy ! Google is now 15yrs old !

Hi all so I am celebrating my 34th birthday weekend. My actual birthday is Sept 4th which happened to fall on a Wednesday this year so I was stuck working but had a wonderful birthday where my daughter sung happy birthday to me about 4-5 times with 2 different birthday cakes ! Plus I was on call IT support but hey the TrafficMarketingDaddy never sleeps and is constantly scouring the web for ways to make make online with online marketing. But now I'm just relaxing in this late summer air and nice weather. Also if you didn't know already September marks the 15th anniversary of when Google began in a Silicon Valley garage.

And now Google makes more than 13 billion searches a month and is the number one search engine in the world.

Happy Birthday Google and Michael Chiong

aka Traffic Marketing Daddy !

Google is now 15yrs old !

google birthday, google turns 15, happy birthday google

Google's birthday has shifted around over the years, but it currently is celebrated on September 27th. The exact year of Google's "birth" depends on how you measure it.Generally, Google uses that 1998 date to calculate their age in years. By most accounts, the true day of the official Google opening was September 7th, but Google has shifted the date around, "depending on when people feel like having cake." [The link that originally contained that quote has since been moved or deleted by Google.] In recent years, people at Google feel like having cake on September 27th. Expect to see a Google doodle on that date. If you want to get an early sneak

peak, try looking at Google in a country with an earlier time zone.

Google will officially celebrate the event with a Google Doodle on September 27, 2013.

It is amazing this company has done from just a simple search engine to provides services such as G-Mail, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Video, Google Book. Not only that Google has swallowed up and acquire all of these companies/services like Blogger, Picasa, Android, Youtube, AdScape, TrendAnalyzer, Doubleclick, Slide, Motorola Mobile and they now they make their own smartphones, tablets, Chrome Books and now Google Glass - people walking around looking like cyborgs.
