List compiled Dec 2013 - Some Sites may or may not be working or may be slow or temporarily down. I list as many as I could here so try them out. Remember to first visit http://www.bitcoin.org which is the Official Unofficial site of bitcoin to help you get started with BitCoin and how to open up a wallet. I suggest opening up a wallet with Coinbase which is relatively easy to setup and manage across all of your computers.

IOS 7 Jailbreak Tool is Here ! Evasi0n Jailbreak out but a little buggy

IOS 7 Jailbreak Tool is Here !

Evasi0n Jailbreak out but a little buggy

After only a few months of waiting, the Evasion team has released an IOS 7 jailbreak tool for devices running iOS 7. The tool runs on Windows, OS X, and Linux. Download it out here, or check out our step-by-step guide to jailbreaking your device below.

Christmas has come a bit early for ardent iOS device jailbreakers. In a rather surprising move, the popular evad3rs hacker team has just released their long-awaited untethered evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak. Just a week ago, my colleague Joe noted:
Back in September, we heard from one member of the elite iOS hacker-team evad3rs that an iOS 7-compatible jailbreak solution was so far looking good, and soon after, it was claimed that the team may have found the final piece in the iOS 7 jailbreak puzzle. This prompted a number of reports to note that a final release could occur in the immediate future; meanwhile, members of evad3rs told the public that Apple's minor point updates for iOS 7 were safe to download and install.

But then, seemingly out of the blue, the evad3rs team has announced today via Twitter that the evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak is now available:

Merry Christmas! The iOS 7 jailbreak has been released at http://t.co/wblOSKyLah! All donations will go to @publicknowledge@eff and @ffii — evad3rs (@evad3rs) December 22, 2013

Here are the requirements for the so-called evasi0n7 jailbreak, which is said to be compatible with all iOS devices running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4:

  • 5 minutes of your time!

  • A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.6 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)

  • iTunes installed if you're running Windows

  • An iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4 (you may check in Settings/General/About => Version)

  • A USB cable to connect the device to the computer

Of course, should you decide to install evasi0n7, it’s recommended that you back up your device first using iTunes or iCloud so you can recover your data in the event that something goes kaput in the process. Good luck! And happy holidays!

Update: As the day has gone on, there's been a lot of talk about some fishy behavior on the part of the Evasion team and their software. At best, it's just very buggy, and at worst, it may be sending private user data to another site. At the moment, we recommend holding off on the jailbreak until we learn more. A lot of the information currently circulating is speculation, so keep an eye on this post and this Reddit thread for more information as it develops.

Update 2: It looks like the claims of malware were false, but the jailbreak is indeed buggy (and has a lot of compatibility issues). Check out this post for the full story.

Bitcoin Mining Guide Part 1 - What is Bitcoin and Should I Buy Or Mine Bitcoin?

Bitcoin Mining Guide Part 1

What is Bitcoin and Should I Buy Or Mine Bitcoin?

What is BitCoin ?

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer currency. Peer-to-peer means that no central authority issues new money or tracks transactions. These tasks are managed collectively by the network.

A Bitcoin is the base currency of the Bitcoin market. It is like how we reference a Dollar or a Euro, and like the different currencies in the world, the Bitcoin trades at different values based primarily on speculation, supply and demand.

One of the most attractive features of Bitcoins is that they are not controlled by any government. They cannot be artificially inflated or deflated. A monetary authority cannot pump more of them into the market to boost the economy. Basically, there is a set amount going out over time and as time goes on the amount entering the market decreases.

The way that they are entered into the market is a process called “Mining”. Basically, computers solve mathematical algorithms to earn the Bitcoins. They are very complex and take a lot of computing power to solve. The more computers trying to solve the equations, the harder the equations become to solve, the less you get for mining.

Here is a video by Ben Swann on Bitcoin:

Should I Buy Or Mine Bitcoins ?

A big question that is asked by people new to Bitcoin. There are reasons to do both and the answer is dependent on your current setup. Bitcoins have a mining goal in mind and that is to only allow a block to be discovered every 10 minutes. The way that Bitcoin accomplishes this is by increasing the difficulty to find the blocks. With more and more publicity about Bitcoin, more people are mining and blocks are being discovered at a rate faster then every 10 minutes causing the difficulty to increase. So with that in mind, it is now harder then ever before to mine Bitcoins.

First, we’ll cover reasons to mine.

Mining helps secure the bitcoin network. The more people that are actively mining, the harder it is for someone to attack the network. Currently, it would a miracle to perform an attack on the network as there are so many advanced miners, so bitcoin is more secure than ever.

GPU mining is a thing of the past. With several companies releasing devices specifically engineered to mine bitcoins, the difficulty has increased so much that it is impossible to turn a profit with a regular computer setup. If you want to make any money in bitcoin mining, you need an ASIC.

Even with an ASIC, you may still find that the difficulty increases make your miner obsolete. Keep that in mind when and if you decide to invest in an ASIC bitcoin miner.

Bitcoin investment is a great opportunity. There is no minimum amount to buy and right now they are in their infancy. Because of the increasing demand for Bitcoins is increasing they have increased in value exponentially. There is also a possibility of them dropping. It’s speculation, but the base is getting bigger, and because bitcoin has no central authority to issue them any faster, supply cannot keep up with demand, causing them to rise in value.

Right now the best 2 places to buy Bitcoins are:

Bitstamp
Local Bitcoins
MtGox

11 FREE TOOLS to Measure Social Media Success

One of the most challenging tasks in selling digital marketing to the C-Suite is defining the return on investment (ROI). It can be particularly challenging when justifying the budget for social media marketing (SMM). Many SMM efforts lend themselves to brand building, community building, and customer service. Unlike "traditional" SEO, these activities aren't always transactional in nature. This is why you need FREE TOOLS to Measure Social Media Success

Marketing ROI has traditionally been measured like this:

Return on Investment (%) = (Net profit / Marketing Costs) × 100.

Sometimes, cost per customer acquisition is the measure. As recently as 2010, the dawn of social media marketing, those in the C-Suite attempted to apply the tried and true transactional ROI model to SMM. The CMO Survey, as reported by Forbes, lists the most common metrics used to measure social media investment.

By 2013, only 9 percent of marketers were using traditional ROI metrics, down from 17 percent in the initial survey. The reason: many social media activities can't be effectively measured using a transactional formula. SMM is often best measured in terms of audience reach, engagement and sentiment.

That said, there are highly successful direct response campaigns that run on Facebook and other social networks every day. These approaches deliver an ROI that can easily be measured the old-fashioned way. Pam Dyer lists 10 here. If that isn't enough, Rob Petersen has another six examples.

Business Insider recently published a story on the death of social ROI. They claim that companies are starting to drop the idea that social media ROI can be measured.

I asked Nicole Harrison (@SocialNicole) about this and the importance of ROI in social media. She was adamant that social media done correctly will deliver results and recommended the following list of 11 free tools for measuring both ROI and social media success.

11 FREE TOOLS to Measure Social Media Success

1. HOOTSUITE

HootSuite is a good all around tool to use for management and metrics tracking. You can schedule posts from multiple social media channels as well as create over 30 individual reports. The free metrics are somewhat limited, but for beginners it's all you will need.

2. SOCIALMENTION

SocialMention is an aggregate tool similar to Google Alerts, but for social media, only. This will give you insight into not only what is being said, but who is saying it and what the general sentiment is.

You can set an RSS feed, email alerts, or even add a real-time widget to your website. You can also download a CSV/Excel file for further evaluation.

3. KLOUT

Monitoring influence isn't an exact science, but having a tool that helps you begin to gage someone's online presence can be useful. Klout is a free tool that will allow you to measure influence on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and several other channels.

4. FACEBOOK INSIGHTS

The Facebook insights dashboard gives you all of the analytics data for your Facebook page. The insights allow you to understand your audience, what they are reacting to, and adjust your content to meet their needs.

5. TWITTER ANALYTICS

Twitter now has its own analytics dashboard. With Twitter Analytics you can track timeline activity, including tweets that were favorited, retweeted, and replied to. The tool also tracks number of mentions, new followers and newly followed. For more information, see "Twitter Analytics: A Beginner's Guide".

6. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

With Google Analytics Campaign Tracking, you can set up links for campaigns with UTM parameters to track the campaign. Go here to create the link using Google link shortener for campaigns.

This is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to track success of a specific link within a campaign. It's also one of the most overlooked methods of tracking.

7. CUSTOM SOCIAL MEDIA REPORTS

Google Analytics does a nice job tracking the number of visitors to visit a website from different social channels. These custom reports give you additional insights as to how traffic is being driven to your website.

If you aren't blogging or creating new and useful content to draw people to your website, don't expect these numbers to be high. It requires a content strategy to really work people toward your website. These easy to install one-click reports are invaluable.

8. BITLY

This link shortener allows you track everything you share. This is a great way to see what your audience is interacting with and decide if the content you share is valuable.

Bitly also integrates into many third-party software packages, making it a great umbrella tool, as you can track within multiple platforms. For example, you may use Social Sprout, a paid management platform and Buffer both with Bitly then review data in individual platforms or as a whole through Bitly.

9. BUFFER

Buffer is a great tool for scheduling content. You simply fill up your Buffer account each day and it will automatically post the content to the channels you select.

For metrics, you're able to look at a dashboard inside Buffer to see what posts are getting the most interaction, or attach it to Bitly to include in your general tracking. You can also attach UTM parameters to track traffic in Google Analytics.

10. TWEETREACH

TweetReach is a great tool for tracking a campaign or conversation on Twitter. Simply enter your search term or hashtag and allow TweetReach to search for the tweets to tell you reach, exposure, activity, top contributors, and more. You can look at the past 50 mentions for free.

11. KEYHOLE

Keyhole is similar to TweetReach except that it also tracks Facebook and Instagram as well as Twitter. This is a great way to track a hashtag or keyword for a campaign or event.

The free social tracker gives you a sample of what the tracker can do. If you signup you can get a three-day free trial, which may be adequate for an event or snapshot view of a campaign. To get a long-term view you can sign up for a monthly paid plan.

SUMMARY

Measuring social media ROI isn't always easy. Building a brand and improving your customer service may not show up directly in your analytics, but these "soft" metrics can have a major impact on the bottom line.

Do you have any tools or measurable SMM success stories to share?

5 Minute Plan for LinkedIn Marketing ( Infographic )

I must admit that, when it comes to marketing myself, I don't take as much advantage of LinkedIn as I should. But you know what they say about marketers: They're terrible at marketing themselves. And when time is valuable. That's why we need a 5 Minute Plan for LinkedIn Marketing

I guess I prove 'em right. But you don't have to fall victim to that adage! And neither does your company's LinkedIn marketing.

That's because the folks at Bluewire Media developed this nice little infographic that you can use when marketing your company's brand -- or your personal brand -- on LinkedIn.

It's divided up into a 5-minute daily LinkedIn regimen for marketers at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced stages. Choose whichever skill level is most appropriate for you, and treat the advice like a little 5-minute workout. After doing it for a few days, I bet you'll find it's easy to get up and running with your LinkedIn presence.

You know what they say -- practice makes perfect! (Okay, done with the adages. Sorry, everyone.)

P.S. If you'd like a printed version of the infographic, Bluewire Media offers one here.

So, where will you be starting? I think I might need to start at the "Beginner" stage -- heh -- and make this 5-minute-a-day thing part of my New Year marketing resolution.

10 Different Ways To Use PopUp Domination Review

10 Different Ways To Use PopUp Domination Review

By Josh Dunlop (originally posted on incomediary.com)

I’ve been using PopUp Domination since I first started online, in early 2011, and since then, I’ve amassed a list of over 20,000 subscribers, most of whom signed up using PopUp Domination.

Since the early versions of PopUp Domination, the plugin has grown to include more themes, as well as shortcodes so that we can enter subscription forms about our website, such as in the footer and sidebar.

I use various themes from the premium theme pack at once, so that I can convert the most amount of visitors possible, while keeping the offers relevant.

It’s helped me to build multiple lists, so I’ve written this post to show you the different ways I use PopUp Domination.

It may be more powerful than you realise – I use 6 different popups at once.

1 - Exit OptIn PopUp

This is my go-to pop up, and where most of my opt ins come from. I’m constantly updating this with one of the 25+ themes available, to see which provides me with the best conversion rate.

It’s set so that when you leave my page, the pop up appears, asking for your email address in return for a free ebook.

I A/B tested it earlier this year, and I found that I got a better conversion rate by asking for people’s email addresses as they were leaving, rather than when they land on the page.

It makes sense really because when they’re arriving on the page, they’re looking for something, and when you display a pop up straight away, they’re more likely to get rid of it and find what they came for.

2 - A/B Testing

Always be testing.

There’s always unlocked potential in your opt in pages and pop ups, but you never know what’s going to convert best until you test it.

I initially tested a few different themes against each other, but when I found one I liked, that seemed to convert well, I then switched by making adjustments to one theme.

I test colour, heading, length of bullet point, and my favourite point of all; button text.

3 - Sidebar & Footer OptIn

With version 3 of PopUp Domination, you can now do in-post opt ins, by taking a shortcode, and inserting it wherever you like.

aweeI use a sidebar opt in, using PopUp Domination, as I find that they convert well and they’re well designed, especially in comparison to Aweber‘s templates.

I also use a free plugin called Q2W3 Fixed Widget, to allow my sidebar items to scroll with the page.

Again, this helps to remind people that there’s a free gift waiting for them, and encourage opt ins. My income comes from my list, so I prefer to advertise that, rather than an affiliate product.

I also use the shortcode to enter a form at the bottom of every post, like so:

4 - Exit PopUp Notification for Sales Pages

People leave your sales pages for a variety of reasons, but whatever that reason may be, don’t you want a final chance to display a message to them and entice them back into your page?

That’s what I do on my sales pages.

It’s just a really simple popup with a list of benefits that they may have missed. If you present this to them in a really easy to read manner, there’s a good chance they’ll come back and have another look.

Instead of collecting email addresses, we just have a link to the page, or the cart, depending on the product.

This has been a proven method to make more sales for us.

(Premium theme below)

5 - Video PopUp

Sometimes, video just works best.

I have various video sales letters, from the short and sweet, to the 15 minute long informational videos, and it’s good to be able to display these videos on relevant pages.

For example, I recently created a 7-day video course, for free, to help promote my paid course. I had a video popup appear to visitors on the pages where the topics were mentioned, asking them to opt in.

This way, I can talk to them through the medium they will expect to see me though, and I’m only targeting relevant content.

It also means that I can use my regular pop ups on the other pages.

(Premium theme below)

6 - Redirection Pop Up for Posts Related to Products

My front-end video course for amateur photographers covers about 25 different posts on my website. They were simply adapted into videos and sold as a package.

Because I already have written versions of these videos, I can then go back and target those posts with my popup.

I do this by adding them all to a single category, and then making the popup appear on pages from that category.

There’s already an ad inside each post, but the popup appears as they enter each page, which helps to encourage them to view my paid product.

I find this kind of popup works best on page load because I can show my visitors the alternative, before they’ve even started reading.

7 - For Establishing Interest in a New Product Idea

This is an awesome trick, if I may say so myself.

I’m testing the market for a new course on composition, because it’s not worth me creating the course until I know whether there’s interest or not. Otherwise I’ll do months of work, for very little return.

I create a popup with a similar offer to the product that I’m going to create.

For me, I’m thinking about creating a photography composition product. So I created a popup, offering a free composition video I’d made, in return for their email address. Then I go into the Analytics in PopUp Domination and look at the conversion rate. If it’s good enough, I will create the course.

And if I do launch the course, I have a list of potential buyers.

I only make this popup appear on the composition category.

8 - Earning Money with An Affiliate Link

If you have a Clickbank account, you can start earning an affiliate commission on PopUp Domination with about 15 seconds worth of work.

You simply go into the affiliate settings, and enter your Clickbank username.

Now, not only are you collecting emails with PopUp Domination, but you’re advertising an affiliate product too.

You can view the affiliate information here.

(Premium theme below)

9 - Affiliate Contact Form PopUp

I use this pop up as an exit popup on my contact page, and an entrance popup on my affiliate page.

I’m always happy to have other people promote my products for me, and if I’ve managed to get them to go to a page where they might sign up, I want to do everything I can to get their contact.

My pop up is really simple, and looks like the image below, only with a couple changes.

I ask for their name, email address, website, and online following.

In the bullet area I include demographic information, earnings per click, and information on promotional material, such as banners and email copy.

I also have PopUp Domination notify me whenever anyone signs up to the list, so that I can go and check it out, and get in contact with them.

The reason I use a list, rather than a regular contact form, is that I then have a list of email addresses I can easily send information about product launches, special offers, etc.

(Premium theme below)

10 - Analytics

If you work online, and you don’t know your data, then you’re just lazy.

One of the key ways to earn more money is to improve your conversion rate for more leads, or sales.

So for that reason, every page that could potentially lead to a conversion of some kind, is always being tested, and I’m always looking at the analytics.

PopUps are an incredibly powerful too, but you’ll never know how much powerful it could be, without the use of analytics.

Conclusion

The business’ main source of income comes from my list, so it makes sense for me to do everything I can to build on this list.

You may consider me to be bias, as the product was created by my brother, but I can say for certain that my business would not be where it is now without the use of PopUp Domination, and the premium theme pack.

I think that the majority of people do not realise the true potential of this plugin, and hopefully I’ve shown you some of the features you can unlock with the premium theme pack.

Along with OptimizePress, this is just one of the plugins that are essential to my business.

What does this Mean ?

If you are using any form of email marketing already this is Good News for you and for all of your Gmail users who are subscribed to your list because it means that your email subscribers who use Gmail will soon see all of your images, without having to “turn them on” (though they can opt to turn them off). Exciting new this is ! For you, this means 2 things:

  1. Your images, seen by more subscribers, will have more of the aesthetic and informative effects you intend.

  2. Your reports may show more subscribers opening your emails. Since opens are recorded when images display, you’ll now be able to see opens from Gmail subscribers who weren’t previously loading your images.

The full report is here. While you’re at it, learn more about using images in your emails. In other news, Yahoo has been experiencing a partial email outage which may impact some of your subscribers. The outage could account for any low engagement you’re seeing from Yahoo users on your lists. To stay informed about the Yahoo! outage, see what Yahoo’s saying here.

FREE SEO TOOL Rank Checker Helps OutRank Your Competitors (limited time only)

How can you rank your websites in the search engines for your desired keywords and keyword phrases? You see that your competition is consistently beating you out of those prized top spots and the fact of the matter is that backlinks will always be the lifeblood of much of your SEO efforts. You just have to get the right kinds of backlinks from the right kinds of websites.

Helping you in that regard is a new SEO tool Rank Cracker. As we go through today's review, we'll take a look at how this free tool works and how it will help propel your site to the top of the search rankings.

FREE SEO TOOL Rank Checker Helps

OutRank Your Competitors (limited time only)

Outrank Your Competitors

If you want to achieve the same kind of success as someone else, it makes sense that you may want to follow in their footsteps. Search engine optimization works in much the same way and that serves as the fundamental basis for Rank Cracker.

FREE SEO TOOL RANK CHECKER

This is a tool that lets you "murder #1-5 ranking websites on Google by using their own effective weapons against them." This backlink spying software works in two basic steps. First, you use any number of tools to swipe the backlinks that are currently pointing toward your competitor's websites. Second, Rank Cracker shows you how you can get those exact same backlinks for your own website.

The actual software itself is relatively small and simple, but that's precisely what makes it so powerful and useful.

How to Use Rank Cracker

The best way to understand this free SEO tool is to watch the quick three-minute tutorial video that they've put together. It walks you through all the basic steps needed to use Rank Cracker.

Rank Cracker is not designed to be used in isolation. Instead, it's meant to be used in tandem with some tools that you may already be using. For example, Rank Cracker doesn't actually go through the process of sifting out the various backlinks that are being directed at the competition, but the tutorial does direct you toward several free and paid tools that will provide you with that list.

The list of URLs where the backlinks reside can then be copied and pasted into Rank Cracker. After being imported, you can click on the start button and Rank Cracker will display how you can go about replicating those backlinks for your own website.

By pre-selecting the backlink software that you already own, Rank Cracker will prioritize this software over alternative solutions. Where software may not be able to replicate the links easily, Rank Cracker will provide you with viable contact information for those websites. This way, you can get in touch with the website owners directly to inquire about getting those valued backlinks.

The overall user interface doesn't provide much in terms of eye candy, nor is it designed to do so. It's functional and straightforward, giving you a place to paste in the URLs on the left column, while providing information about getting those backlinks along the right column. It's easy to use and understand.

Download for Free for a Limited Time

You shouldn't expect Rank Cracker to be a magic bullet that will automatically skyrocket your website to the top of Google, but when used in tandem with the other backlink tools and some other SEO strategies, it could prove to be very effective. The best part is that it won't cost you a thing.

Rank Cracker is available as a completely free download, so you really don't have anything to lose. It's a good idea to grab it now, because developer Matthew Woodward has indicated that he will be selling the software for as much as $47 in the near future.

Twitter Direct Message failures driving you crazy?

Twitter Direct Message failures driving you crazy?

As many of you might of already noticed, Twitter is currently experiencing problems with their Direct Messages and have published the following message:

This has caused problems for Twitter users everywhere and of course our very own SocialBro users. In true Twitter style a debate has sparked and Twitter themselves have apparently dismissed speculation that these errors are their way of trying to crack down on spammers, insisting that it is just a temporary technical issue caused by a bug. Whichever it is, it’s a huge inconvenience for business users and we understand the importance of being able to communicate with your community, which of course includes being able to direct them to your website/ blog/ event sign up page etc. In order to help you guys improve communication with your community during this period we have created this post to outline a few tips of ways that you canalter your links to allow them to be sent.

Twitter’s attempt to crack down on spammers?

One of the main ways spammers make use of Twitter is to send users links to websites either by public tweet or a direct message. In a past blog post by Twitter they stated:

“At Twitter, we see spamming as a variety of different behaviours that range from insidious to annoying.Posting harmful links to phishing or malware sites, repeatedly posting duplicate tweets, and aggressively following and un-following accounts to attract attention are just a few examples of spam on Twitter.”

Previously users could only send DMs to their followers but recently Twitter changed their rules and allowed users to opt in to being able to receive DMs from any user. The DM problems kicked in after this change which has lead to some believing that Twitter is trying to prevent spammers from taking advantage of this new opportunity, however it could well just be a bug as a result of the new roll out.

SocialBro’s tips to send your links

We have found that Twitter is still allowing users to send links to certain websites that Twitter deems as “safe” for example Youtube, Instagram, Twitter etc which backs up theories that this is part of Twitter’s plan to prevent spam. If this is the case, while we appreciate Twitter going to such great lengths to improve their user experience for everyone, the inability to send potential customers and clients links to your own pages is a huge inconvenience and something that could greatly hinder engagement, relationship building and as a result sales etc.

We’ve been busy here at SocialBro HQ investigating ways that you can manoeuvre around this issue both by experimenting with different types of DMs and by doing some research on the web. Here’s a couple of ideas for how you to avoid failed error messages and failed DMs.

1) Add an extra slash in your URL

Using three slashes in your URL (e.g. https:///www.socialbro.com) will mean that it is not recognised by Twitter as a link and your message will be sent. The downside however is that the link can not be clicked from the DM, the user will have to copy and paste it into their browser which will then eliminate the extra slash and send them to your destination.

2) Send users to your destination via a whitelisted web page

As mentioned above, URLs from some major websites have been whitelisted meaning you can still send users DMs containing links to their webpages. Youtube is one of these websites which just so happens to have a redirect service meaning your link will appear to Twitter as though it will take the user to Youtube, which it does but it gives the user the link that you are actually trying to direct them to which they then have to click. To use Youtube’s redirect service change your URL as shown below:

e.g. From:

https://www.socialbro.com

To:

http://www.youtube.com/redirect?q=socialbro.com

3) Use a link to a tweet in your DM

Twitter is allowing users to send DMs with links to Twitter itself. As a result of this, users have managed to bypass this problem by sending a public tweet containing a message and a link to their website/ blog etc and include a link to this tweet in a direct message to desired recipients. Please be aware however that spammers are currently using this method and we advise using our best practices (such as personalising the message and making sure you only send DMs to those users who will value them) to make sure your tweets are successful and your community do not think you are trying to spam them.

4) Avoid URL shorteners

There have always been pros and cons of using URL shorteners in your direct messages. URL shorteners such as Bitly make it easy for you to track the number of clicks your link has received and therefore allows you to judge the successfulness of your campaign. On the downside however, some users will view these links as suspicious and will avoid clicking on them as the destination is unknown. While Twitter is experiencing these DM problems, we advise against using URL shorteners in your direct messages.

Although these methods are not ideal, neither is a bunch of failed DMs. We’ve tried these ideas and they worked for us and we recommend using point one or two and not using a link shortener (these points are also detailed in our user guide). if you have any other tried and tested methods we would love to hear them!
