Site is Under some Minor maintenance

So after running this site for almost 4 months plus have decided to run with a new blog design so it will take some time to customize it but it is a more responsive them while the old site had longer blog previews this sites aims to cut the previews down and attract my readers with catchy titles but still great content and hope to be poster more and more as I get some more guest bloggers to contribute their posts to my site and in return they can send a backlink back to your site. You would just have to email me at admin@trafficmarketinggdaddy.com and you can submit your post after I give you an author login.

This site at 4 months had some growth to up to 4,000 unique visitors and climbing.. 1,000 twitter followers, 500 Facebook followers and have made a decent amount of money from various different ventures in short period of time. We have had some traffic spikes in the last two months that made my image CDN company (Cloudinary)  made me upgrade from my FREE plan to a paid plan. Also may need to start looking for a better hosting plan as being on a shared hosting plan even though I have unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited domains I am limited by the amount of RAM that the webserver allocates to my sites.. Imagine that everything is unlimited except for the limitations on the server itself which hosts my site so in other words you are limitating me right from the beginning.

When I ask how much RAM am I entitled to use with the Shared Hosting Plan ? I was told that they (Dreamhost) are not allowed to tell their Shared Hosting Plan subscribers. What kind of crap is that ? No to demeanor Dreamhost or any other company which probably operates the same way but lesson to be learned here is that can't be cheap any more on hosting because it will affect speed, performance, server crashes/spikes, and less visitors (or inpatient people who will leave because site takes too long to load)

So Things to do include are

1) Upgrade Cloudinary (Image CDN account)

2) Upgrade DreamHost Plan  to VPS Plan

3) Work on new responsive WP theme

Social Media Branding Guide - Logo Image Dimensions (InfoGraphic)

If you are at all using Social Media (which you should because there is such a thing called Social Traffic) to promote a business, a non-profit, a blog, a book, a product, yourself etc you should be considering some sort of Social Media branding.

Visual Branding which consists of uploading images (banners, logos, icons, backgrounds, etc) and this post includes an infographic which can help you with the ideal image specifications that each major Social Media Network (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Youtube) requires you to have in order to upload your photos so that they look good with ideal resolution and pretty much that the whole image fits or does not look too small with too much blank space. So without further a due I bring you the:

Social Media Branding Guide

Logo Image Dimensions (InfoGraphic)

The Social Media Spec Guide an Infographic

You may not be surprised to find out that each of these platforms has their own graphic specifications. But you may be surprised at how many specifications there actually are. When I first started creating social media images, I had to look up the specs online using multiple sources. Occasionally, I still look up specs when my memory fails me (getting old is a B). It can be a hassle, considering, there isn’t just one source that has all the specs I need.

After months of fighting through, finally found a Social Media Branding Guide for myself and to share with others who have suffered my same fate. If you've struggled to get this information in writing or have not enough tried to change default backgrounds, themes, logos, etc for your business then today's freebie is for you my friend!

Remember that by using Social Media Branding and customizing the graphics on the social media networks you use you install an image, a rapport, an idea in somebody's mind that you are professional, you are trustworthy, and they will remember you for it.

Note: If you are not very good with Photoshop, Illustrator or graphic design in general you can always outsource the work and focus on the larger picture. Sites like Fiverr, Elance, and more you can find these kind of talented individuals to help you with stuff that you are not proficient with. Click More to see the InfoGraphic !

6 Ways a Formatted Google+ Post Will Increase Engagement and Interest

One of the major differences we've discussed in the past between Google+ and other social networks is the ability to format your posts. I've shared tips and techniques, and the renowned Peg Fitzpatrick recently ran through her style for creating the perfect Google+ post, and it's right in line with how I share new blog posts. Continue reading to see how a  formatted Google + Post will Increase Engangement and Interest.

But why does it matter?

Businesses and bloggers using content and social media should be working to achieve the following:

Increase Readership and Traffic

Increase Authority

Correctly formatting your Google+ posts can help you achieve those goals, far better than posts to other social networks can. Just like starting your day off with a fresh cup of coffee to help wake and energize you, give your Google+ Posts some extra love and attention and start them off right.

6 Ways a Formatted Google+ Post

Will Increase Engagement and Interest

How to Craft Google+ Posts

As Peg correctly states, there are a number of elements to the "perfect" Google+, including:

1. Title Your Post

Use a * around your first sentence of text to make it bold, and treat it like a blog post title. It can be the same as your blog post, or something different. I generally take a specific point from the post or a different perspective in order to spark discussion.

2. Introduce Your Post

After your title, provide some information as to what your post is about or what kind of discussion you'd like to start. You can handle this a number of ways, and can change it up depending on the nature of the specific post. Sometimes I will summarize the post, and other times I will discuss a different topic entirely and relate it to the blog post. Either way, make sure that you're offering your Google+ followers a reason to get involved and read your post.

Get More Bang out of Pinterest

Wondering how to make the most of Pinterest? Want your pins to yield more followers and help increase your traffic? Use the following tips to Get More Bang Out of Pinterest and see better results from the time and effort that you put into this popular social media tool.

Get More Bang out of Pinterest

Pinterest Homepage

Consider the demographic you want to reach.

The first step in getting more bang out of Pinterest is simply making sure your audience is there. Pinterest users are overwhelmingly female. According to Pew Internet, women are much more likely to use the social media site than men.  Your audience's age also matters, as most Pinterest users are under 50 years of age.  Moms are more likely to frequent the site as well (Nielsen). If your audience isn't already using the site, getting traffic from it will be like pulling very stubborn teeth.

Let's say your audience is on Pinterest. Your next step is making sure the site is a good fit for your niche. Fashion, food, interior design, and crafts tend to do well on this site. However, you may find that your niche has just as much potential. The more representation your niche has on Pinterest, the larger the audience you will likely enjoy.

Google to Encrypt ALL Keyword Searches - Bad News for Marketers

Last week, Google made a change to encrypt all search activity -- except for clicks on ads. This means marketers won't even be able to get keyword data for searches conducted by users who aren't even signed in. (Cue marketers everywhere raising their fists in fits of rage.) What would drive Google to Encrypt ALL Keyword Searches ?

When approached by Search Engine Land, Google reportedly confirmed the switch, saying the following:
"We added SSL encryption for our signed-in search users in 2011, as well as searches from the Chrome omnibox earlier this year. We’re now working to bring this extra protection to more users who are not signed in."

I know what you may be thinking. This sounds like a ton of technical jargon, but in plain terms, it has one critical ramification for search marketers, business owners, and marketing professionals: You will no longer be able to identify which keywords a person logged into Google.com searched for before they arrived at your website.

This means that website and marketing analytics packages like HubSpot, Omniture, and even Google's own analytics platform will no longer be able to report on the keywords that were searched by those logged-in users. There are a few potential reasons why Google has implemented this, and important things for marketers to know.

Google to Encrypt ALL Keyword Searches

Bad News for Marketers Everywhere !

google encrypts all search terms, google encrypting all search terms, google encrypts search words

Why, Google ... Why?!

So Google says, the reason for the switch is to provide “extra protection” for searchers. Search Engine Land, however, suspects that Google may also be attempting to block NSA spying activity -- since Google was accused of giving the National Security Agency access to its search data back in June (which it has strongly denied). We also can't help but think that, because Google is encrypting search activity for everything but ad clicks, this is a move to get more people using Google AdWords.

There is also a strong competitive benefit for Google to do this, as noted by Joost de Vaalk on the SEOBook blog last night , in that Google can also protect more of its user data and search result data from other advertising networks that seek data, such as Chitika and Chango. These networks want to use more of Google's data to help them sell their own ads and retargeting advertisements, which will be much harder to do following this change.

17 Common SEO Myths that you need to Discard in 2013 and Beyond

To say SEO has “changed a lot” would be the understatement of the decade. Just take a look at how Google’s Panda and Penguin algorithm updates shook the world of Seo professionals -- marketers and Seo agencies world-wide haulted their link-building and keyword-obsessed ways, and swapped it for a long overdue focus on quality content. This post is going to point out all of the most common SEO myths and assumptions about how Seo works,  and debunk them for you so you’re not wasting a single moment on things that simply don’t matter for Seo in 2013 and beyond. let’s get started.

But does that mean an Seo’s job is just to pump out high quality, keyword-optimized content? far from it. In fact, Seo has changed so much in the past several years that many marketers aren’t sure what’s outdated, what’s important, what will actually move the needle, and what’s simply wasted effort.

17 Common SEO Myths that You

Need to Discard in 2013 and Beyond

common seo myths, seo myths debunked,

Myth # 1 - You have to Submit Your Website to Google

The idea that you need to submit your website to google in order to appear in search results (or rank) is nonsense. while a brand new site can submit their url to google directly, a search engine like Google can still find your site without you submitting it. And remember, a submission does not guarantee anything. Crawlers will find your site and index it in due time, so don’t worry about this idea of needing “tell” google about your site.

Myth #2 - Ranking is Everything

google rank, google rankingWhile there’s a strong correlation between search results placement and clickthrough rates, ranking is not the all mighty end goal that it used to be. Now with search results being appended with rich text/snippets and author tags, results that appear below the top three sought after slots are getting much higher clickthrough rates.

And even before all of that was applied, rankings did not guarantee success. you could theoretically rank quite well for a term and get tons of traffic, and not make a dime from it. Is that what you really want? I don’t think so. So it’s time to shift your goals, and rethink what Seo is all about, because “ranking” is not it.
